The Obama administration has set this as a goal--hope you will take a stand.  Barbara Boxer is one of the leaders pressing this issue.  Go to parentalrights.org and join in making your Congress work in helping ensure the rights of parents of this nation is not nullified by a United Nations treaty that this administration will be trying to pass in the Senate under the radar.  The onslaught on American freedoms and the economy is so great that this issue is dangerously being overlooked. 

Parents be warned as no one can stop them but informed parents!  Share and pray and act to make a difference for you are your child's best defender under God.  These are trying times we live in where America is being tried and hopefully we will be found true.  It reminds me of the days of the Founding Fathers.

We have been left a great legacy and great weapon by the Founding Fathers with the inspiration from Almighty God-the Constitution-let us use it for such a time as this. 

There is a new group called Christian Resolute Women (see them on facebook) that wants the churches to wake up and help fight this massive issue that seems unstoppable.  It will take a miracle as this is one of their highest goal--it will definitely change America if we do not stop it.

Please read our earlier articles on this son of a Hamas Founder, Mosab Hassan Yousef, who met his Savior and freed him from hate which has been prevalent in the middle east.  This young man is a testimony to how God's grace can effect a change no peace plan by any government can bring.  Indeed, he is a prime example of what we want to see happen in the minds and culture of the middle east--a respect for life.  The transformation everyone has been seeking is found in this young man and yet this administration instead of embracing and proclaiming the good news from such a world changing attitude-maybe sending him back and to his death.

I am sorry Mosab Hassan Yousef has seen the not so good side of America.  It is not everywhere but it is there amongs those who maybe blinded to the truth in front of them.    I daresay those trying to deport him are following the nth letter of the law--they think to the best of their ability--but they forgot the spirit of the law.  The same mindset has sprung up in many areas of our government where the Original Intent has been overlooked. 

But there is hope because many  Americans who truly want to do what is right as they truly love this land of the free-home of the brave will be writing to Homeland Security and asking that deportation hearing be cancelled.  I pray those in the Department of Homeland Security will see the truth for I believe they too, really love their country, their families.  They just need a little help to realize the truth that having such a man is an asset, an incredible resource and a gift from God in this fight on the war on terror.  I know 9/11 seems distant but in an instant the pain can come again if we are not vigilant and I dare say there is hope because bottom line those in Homeland Security seeks to truly do just that--keep our Homeland--our families, our children-- safe.   

I pray they will see they must use everything they can to prevent a repeat of the hell on earth suffered by many on 9/11 and that Mosab Hassan Yousef, will be seen as indeed the very help they can not afford to turn away!  A reminder of that event--click here.  Here is a link to an interview with him by Jewish Television.

Praise be to God from whom all blessings flow.  Again He has shown this is his nation which when his foundations are followed--men can indeed be free.  What an awesome testimony the deportation hearing of Yousef is about our awesome God.  Watch video on this:

Thank you Lord!!!

What a maddening world this is.  Beautiful and ugly lives side by side.  Logical and illogical all together on one plane.  Perspective always determines where you go.  A movie called Motherhood was the starter to my pensive thoughts.  It was not what I thought it would be but yet I realized for some it was the way they saw their world.  The setting was the hustle and bustle of New York which to many would be great but watching it was little claustrophobic for me.  Of course, it just showed life in the busy parts of that state as I am sure there are other parts not so busy not so claustrophobic.

It is for those who probably likes the fast life and the glittering of the beautiful glass towers made by man but I prefer the majesty of God made trees, rolling hills interspersed with pillars of clouds as far as the eye can see absent with buildings for sometimes miles around.

I felt sorry for the woman at such a loss of who she was but alas that is everywhere in this land.  Perspectives make a difference.  Who is in our lives makes a difference.   I have heard you are who you hang around and I believe there is validity to that.  I believe we are all like floundering ships in the storms of life and unless we are anchored properly--there is no telling where will end up at.

The headlines of the election woes, health care reform, skyrocketing unemployment rate, BP oil spill, federal over reach,government corruption, escalations in the middle east--really everywhere (Korea, Pakistan etc, etc.), lack of presidential leadership amongst many things--gives me that same feeling of claustrophobia as in that movie.  We as a culture seems to be on overload or overdrive spiraling to an abyss.

But then I was reminded by a kind gentleman named Jimmy DeYoung of Prophecy Today and I thought could it be?  He says there is nothing else to wait for except the coming of the Lord.  How breathtaking that is.  Could it be so?  Wow, get ready folks it is time for a reality check.  When He comes, if He comes tomorrow--are you going with him? 

I don't live in the hustle and bustle world of New York.  I live in a gentler pace and I like it that way.  God has gifted me special people to love and cherish and helps remind me of who I am.  I am a follower of the Good Shepherd and I hear his voice and it comforts me.  His mercy and grace abounds in my life and I owe everything to him.  Life is not perfect--it has its ups and downs but knowing Him has made my life abundant and it has made all the difference.  Won't you try him and get ready so that when He comes--you will not be left behind...because then it will matter who knows you.  Is your name written in heaven?

Grab a Bible get to know Him from whom all blessings flows--George Washington knew Him and it made all the difference for these United States of America.  Israel is a sign for us--study the Bible and as Jimmy De Young likes to say--look up...

Will the National Day of Prayer hurt Obama was the title of a recent Time's article by Amy Sullivan.  According to her "From a political standpoint, the question for the administration should be not whether it was the right thing to disinvite Graham but why he was invited in the first place. His comments are both well-documented and well-known. "

Her article made me question does she know her true heritage.  Sadly, no is the answer--she needs a sit down course on the true history of this great nation from David Barton of Wallbuilders.com

On this link of a page from that website, one can glean without a shadow of a doubt that the foundation of this nation is Christian and there has been National Day of Prayer Proclamation's even with our first President-George Washington.  As a matter of fact, on the same day Congress finished drafting the First Amendment  they asked Pres. George Washington to declare a National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving.  Pres. George Washington said "it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor."  And that is why it is very proper to have invited such a man as Franklin Graham who loves the LORD and honors him.

As it was pointed out to me in Malachi 2 it is a dangerous thing not to listen and set our hearts to honor God--an admonition to priests.  God's Word is very clear--"Thou shalt have no other gods beside me".  A priest trying to be politicallly correct sounds like in Malachi 2 to be treading dangerously.  Now the likes of Ms. Amy Sullivan seems to be oblivious to this awesome God.  But according to Thomas Jefferson "I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that his justice cannot sleep forever."

Paul said in Acts 18:22 "I see that in every way you are very religious."  And some of the bloggers on that article are and some indeed have an unknown god called selfishness.  It is the reason many refuse to believe because they want to control where they are going and being a follower of Christ is not convenient for them. 

Paul also said in Acts 18:25 that God is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything." and in Acts 18:28 "in him we live and move and have our being."  Which leads to the truest history they miss --that they are children of God and loved by him.  By his grace He placed them on this great nation He formed and gave them ability to choose leaders that fear God that it may go well for them.  Most of the Founding fathers knew that but Amy Sullivan and many of us today do not know the richness of God's blessings upon us who live in the land of the free.  Pretty hard to keep these rights to become the best you can be when you never knew you had them. 

Mayble, just maybe, as in Matthew 7:7 they will find truth and that will make all the difference for them and their family.

I just got back from a trip to Washington D.C. and words can't describe how I feel.  It was a jam-packed tour that left me with a wistful, incredilous feeling over this nation I call home.  It was a tour with WorldStrides under co-host Mrs. Barbara Moore's planning and it was just incredible.

I come back just thanking God for the caretakers of this nation's historical memories--for the excellence in care and the planning and preservation steps taken (I'm sure with much sacrifice) so that simple citizens like me can see for myself the people who paved the way for the great nation I live in and what being an American meant to them.  The War Memorials were crucial in making me understand that freedom isn't free.  Gazing at the countless names inscribed in the Vietnam War Memorial, the rows of markers as far as the eye can see in Arlington National Cemetery, and the stark figures of our soldiers on the Korean War Memorial made me feel a great debt of gratitude for these who sacrificed lives and families so that I can be free.   It is as the inscription on the Korean War Memorial--"freedom isn't free".

Visiting the homes of Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, and George Washington's Mount Vernon made me step back in time into the life of these Founding Fathers and glimpse their world then.  What lovers of God they were.  Today many lovers of our LORD thinks politics as dirty but to these men it was high honor and part of their patriotic duty and duty to God to be very involved in the governing of their homeland.  We need more men as these--methinks that is why we have such troubles today.  Men who are in government to serve themselves-for fame or fortune are not worthy of the positions of high honor to lead this nation in government--yet many are there today.  This trip has led me to want to pray more for leaders who will humble themselves before an Awesome God and truly become servants of "We the people".  Hope you'll agree with me and pray the same (more on this trip on future blogs.)
